Investigators believe that from October 2020 to May 2022, Mitroshina, being an individual entrepreneur with a simplified taxation system, received income from her courses many times more than the allowable limit (150 million rubles). The infoblogger decided to bypass VAT and personal income tax payments using IP affiliated with her.

“Thus, Alexandra Mitroshina evaded taxes in the amount of more than 120 million rubles ,” the TFR says in a press release. In her house, as well as in the Chekalins’ mansion, the investigation conducted searches, but gave no details.

Now Mitroshina lives in Dubai. Last year, she bought an apartment there for about $300,000. “I have never lived in my own apartment, only a couple of days in Butovo. It’s very interesting what it is. I’m worried, ”the blogger shared with subscribers, starting repairs in her new Dubai property. At the same time, according to the “Company”, in January 2020, Mitroshina got an apartment in the elite residential complex “Etalon City” with an area of ​​61 sq. m and an approximate cost of 16 million rubles. The blogger did not leave any other real estate in Russia.

The outcome of the Mitroshina case will depend on mitigating and aggravating circumstances, Alexey Gatin, managing partner of the law firm Law and Taxes, explains in an interview with the Company. According to him, the real term is unlikely, especially after the statement by the head of the Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev about the need to assign more corrective labor. Gatin noted that the scheme for splitting up business and charging additional taxes is “rather traditional” for the Federal Tax Service. “The same methods are used in restaurants or car service chains. This does not mean that the tax authorities have taken on bloggers. Yes, before the topic of bloggers and taxes was not covered in the media, but after all, no one particularly writes about such problems in restaurants, ”the lawyer explained.

Lawyer Stanislav Smolentsev added that all the risks of tax fraud were “easily calculated”, but bloggers are used to the fact that they usually get away with everything. According to him, people do not want to spend money on lawyers if things are going more or less normally. It is possible that such naivete is the scourge of all infobloggers.

Last year, Mitroshina told subscribers that the Russian tax authorities accused her of failing to pay more than 200 million rubles. She assured that she “always worked honestly, in the white, with no intention of deceiving the state.” To replenish the country’s budget, the blogger sold several more courses, the income from which went to pay the fine, recalled the author of the Telek Telek YouTube channel, which specializes in bloggers and their sales. Probably, this time Mitroshina will follow the same path.

Alexandra Mitroshina calls herself the person who “turned the world of blogging.” She has published two books (“#Sasha fitness” about home workouts and nutrition and “Promoting personal blogs on Instagram*”) and more than a dozen webinars. Now Mitroshina has 4.2 million followers on Instagram, 226,000 on Telegram, and 248,000 on YouTube.

The advertising seller “Author’s Media” provides Mitroshina’s price list for March 2023 with the following prices:

advertising insert in a podcast 1.5-2 minutes long – 5 million rubles.

Mitroshina’s advertisers at various times were Alfa-Bank, Skypro online courses and The Act cosmetics brand.

But advertising is far from the main part of her earnings. Mitroshina made her name and capital on the Instalogy course – training in promotion on Instagram. At the same time, she holds conferences on her other projects (“InstaProjector”, “Show Up”) and launches projects with other infobloggers. According to Mitroshina, in the near future she plans to build a dance school, which requires an investment of $1 million.

Mitroshina calculated that in 2021 she earned 303 million rubles for her projects and advertising. But the data at the disposal of the “Company” say that the blogger for the same year reported to the Federal Tax Service only about 83.6 million rubles of income.

In addition to tax, the blogger has a similar game with legal entities. According to SPARK, Mitroshina owns Innovative Technologies for Bloggers LLC, whose income for 2021 amounted to 7.5 million rubles. At the same time, the cost of Mitroshina’s courses ranges from 5 thousand to 1 million rubles. For example, the tariff of the flagship course “Instalogy 6.0”, which started on March 8, costs 109,990 rubles, and VIP – 1 million rubles. Feedback on the course is mixed: users note the lack of specifics, the presence of a mass of well-known information, budget production and theory without practice.
